GJHS Library Mission:

The Grand Junction High School Library’s mission is to inspire lifelong learning, foster a love of reading and empower students to become information literate in a friendly, nurturing, and accessible environment.

The Library Media Center is open on school days from 7:00am to 3:30pm.  The library is available to students before school, at lunch, and after school.  Students who visit the library during class time must have a library pass from their teacher, sign in at the reception desk, and sign out when they leave.  Students on release who visit the library also need to sign in and out at the reception desk.

Library Policy

Books may be checked out for 2 weeks (magazines and reference materials for 1 day) and renewed as needed.  (A fine of $.10 a day may be assessed for late materials.)  The library also has a variety of supplies available to students for educational purposes.  Both a black and a color laser printer are available for use by students.

*Lost Book Charges equal the replacement cost of the book plus a $5 processing fee.

The library has 24 computers for student use plus a mobile lab of 20 wireless laptops. Teachers who have reserved the computers have first priority.  The library staff can assist students with computer use, usernames, and passwords.

The library has one scanner available for student use.

All computers are networked to a black laser printer and a color printer. There is no charge for printing black and white copies, but please print conservatively. If you would like to print in color, there is a .50¢ charge.

DO NOT send print jobs more than once if they do not print. Contact a library staff member immediately.
